The CCP general meeting was held. As with last year, generative AI was a recurring topic — even the head of our accounting firm is now a paid ChatGPT user. Other topics included the knock-on effects of the naphtha shortage, with members reporting that high-end materials remain available but lead times for everyday supplies are stretching out, as well as the reversal between buyer’s and seller’s markets in hiring.

Eiji Nakayama of Agent Graffiti has joined the cooperative. Nakayama-san has a unique background: he works at a local financial institution while taking on a side business as a new way of working. His services include building online stores on the Shopify EC platform, marketing support, and ongoing maintenance.

The cooperative’s office moved on 26 August 2022.

As with last year, the meeting was held remotely as a COVID-19 precaution. This year was due for an officer election, but the existing officers were kept in place; only one member of the Public Sector Joint Procurement Committee was replaced. The financial report and the budget proposal were both approved unanimously, and the meeting wrapped up without any issues.

The 2020 annual general meeting is scheduled for 22 May 2020. Given the situation with COVID-19, the venue may not be available, in which case the meeting will be held remotely. If we do go remote, we plan to use the 2F meeting room of the Kyoei Building as the main site and connect over Zoom. If you plan to attend, please get set up in advance.
